New wines just reached Hong Kong and we are so excited to share them with you. Here in this box is what we just tried over our last staff tasting: smashable, juicy wines, all perfect for your August in the 852. Enjoy!
Poil de lièvre 2019, Domaine Bobinet, Loire Valley, France. Chenin Blanc. Citrus, dried herbs, almonds, apple and oxidative notes.
Magic of juju 2020, Domaine Mosse, Loire Valley, France. Chenin Blanc (from Loire) & Loin de l'Oeil (from Gaillac). Acacia and white florals, followed by layered notes of liquorice, medicinal herbs, dried apricot on the palate.
Orange Wine 2019, Ancre Hills Estate, Wales, UK. Albariño, 30-50 days whole bunch maceration. Nectarine, tangerine, citrus with herbal lift. Rich and savoury, but still refreshing.
Piak! rosé 2020, Domaine Bobinet, Loire Valley, France. 40 % Chenin blanc, 55 % Cabernet Franc blanc de noir + 5% Cabernet Franc. Red fruits, peppery notes, slightly fizzy.
Cardinia ranges 2019, Momento Mori Wines, Australia. Pinot Noir. Unfortunately, this is the last vintage that will be produced of this splendid rosé! Sapid and mineral thanks to the granite soils from where it is grown.
Bisou Red 2020, Domaine Mosse, Loire Valley, France. Field Blend. Carbonic maceration. Strawberry, kirsch, liquorice and bit of pepper. Slightly fizzy and textural on the palate, super refreshing.
