Syrah is a small, dark skinned berry that grows in small bunches. Naturally high, but not too high, in acidity and tannins, it can give both fresh and juicy wines ready to drink and more structured ones suitable for ageing. The grape originated in the Rhône Valley of France, while being the most planted grape in Australia, where they call it Shiraz. And it is a particularly exciting grape, giving many different nuances depending on where it is grown. In France its trademark is black pepper, while in Australia is dark chocolate.
In this box we feature various expressions from around the World: France, Italy, California, South Africa and of course Australia. Get on it!
