Christophe Pacalet

Domaine Pacalet, Beaujolais

In 1999, Christophe Pacalet created, with his uncle Marcel Lapierre, the domaine of “Les Marcellins”, between Mâcon and Lyon. Although he does not own vineyards, he purchases grapes from carefully selected terroirs, only selecting parcels of old vines that have been grown naturally, in respect for the environment and to get the best grape quality.

"For me, for us, the future is to buy vines and do as we like. We buy the grapes, but we don't know it all. The ideal is have one's own vines." - Christophe Pacalet
