Dominique Derain

Domaine Derain, Burgundy

Dominique Derain is a biodynamic producer situated in the town of Saint-Aubin in the Côte de Beaune. He began his wine career as a barrel maker, but decided to study winemaking instead. He enrolled in a school in Beaune, and in 1988, purchased 5.5 hectares of vines. He then made the decision to tend the vines biodynamically, making wines with as little intervention as possible.
