Julien Altaber

Domaine Sextant, Burgundy

Raised in a family of farmers, Julien Altaber studied viticulture and bought his own domaine to make his own vines. Helped by Dominique Derain, he found an affordable parcel to purchase in 2010. He not only harvests his own vines but also buys organic grapes from producers with whom he has established long-term relationships and who share his philosophy. His work is completely transparent – organic farming without exception. His wines are very expressive, energetic and alive.

"My goal is not to make a "grand Vin", but rather a "True Wine"; honest, with maximum-drinkability"
