Vincent Laval
Domaine Georges Laval, Champagne
It's in the heart of the Champagne area, nearby Épernay, in the village of Cumières, that Domaine Georges Laval takes ground organically since 1971. Already Champagne producer before going organic, Georges Laval realised how bad the industrialisation of viticulture was. Georges' son, Vincent, took over the domain in 1996 and embraced the same values of organic farming, environment-friendly growing methods and respect for flavours and traditions.
Because of its soil richness, its particular climate and sun exposition, this terroir was classified as Premier Cru as a reward for the exceptional quality of Champagnes grown on it.
"Taking over the estate in 1996, I continued what I considered mandatory: organic farming, respecting our lifestyle, preserving aromas and original flavours of our terroirs." - Vincent Laval
