Mas de Libian proudly identifies as a southern French winery by producing wines from a blend of different grape varieties (Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah, Counoise, Vaccarese, etc.) from a classically Rhône terroir of rounded river rocks and red clay.
The Thibon family bought Libian back in 1970.
Since then, the winery has been handed down, generation onto generation.
Nowadays, Hélène runs the Estate, farming 25 hectares of vines and 8 hectares of nourishing land. The terroir has always been worked organically and certified biodynamic. Helped by her husband Alain and her sisters Catherine and Cécile. And two horses Nestor and Bambi, who work the vines using traditional method.
Located in Saint Marcel d’Ardèche on the western side of the Rhône river, set on a rocky plateau bathed in sunlight, the winery follows the model where the estate's viniculture is a self-sustaining environment, the wines reflect all the natural wealth and charm of this region.
